Every brand in our case studies is a fictional example brand, including Alterra. The numbers are modeled from realistic Shopify and Klaviyo data to show the kind of improvement we help brands make. The method is the one we use with clients.

The situation

Alterra sells five very different products. Every new customer got the same emails and the same 'time to reorder' reminder on day 30, whether they bought hydration sachets that run out in three weeks or creatine that lasts two months.

This might be you if

  • You sell several products that run out at different speeds
  • Everyone gets the same 'complete your stack' email
  • Bundle and subscription customers get reminders they don't need

What we found

Reminders came at the wrong time

Hydration buyers ran out around day 22. Creatine buyers around day 58. Day 30 was wrong for almost everyone.

Cross-sells were random

Most buyers got the same 'complete your stack' email, whatever they already owned.

Subscriptions were pushed too early

Customers were asked to subscribe before they knew how fast they'd use the product.

What we built

  • Reorder timing for each product and pack size
  • Next-product suggestions based on what each customer already owns
  • Subscription invitations once a customer's reorder rhythm is clear
  • Bundle reminders that refill each item when it actually runs out

The result

More customers reordered on time, twice as many tried a second product line, and profit per customer rose 81%.

The takeaway for your brand

One schedule can't fit five products. Time each message to what the customer actually bought.
